What is Nina Portraits?

Nina Portraits is a website where you can design and order a customized portrait of your favorite photo.

How does it work?
  1. Select a poster, a framed poster or a canvas, and choose one of our design samples to start customizing your way, choose a size, background and frame. You can also add an optional text, and upload your photo to place your order.
  2. Within 3-5 business days you’ll receive an email with a preview of your portrait design for your approval.
  3. Once you replay the email with your approval, we prepare and deliver your order within 7-10 business days.

What materials do you use?

Our posters are printed on museum-quality thick matte paper. Paper thickness: 10.3 mil (0.26 mm). Paper weight: 189 g/m²

The frames are thick and lightweight, made with ayous wood .75″ (1.9 cm) from renewable forests, with acrylite front protector.

The canvases are 1.5″ (3.81 cm) deep, fade-resistant on acid-free, PH-neutral, poly-cotton base. The fabric weight is 13.9 oz/yd² (470 g/m²).

What photo makes for the best portrait?

Use a good camera and focus

Use a high-quality camera or a recent smartphone to get a sharp, clear photo. If using a phone, tap on the subject before taking the picture and allow the camera to focus.

Find good light

Go outside to get the right shot (or choose a picture that uses natural lighting). If this isn’t possible, use a room with plenty of artificial lighting.

Get close

We recommend to get close and include the head and upper body of the subject. If shooting a pet, take a shot with your pet either standing up or sitting. If you’re not sure, you can add to your order up to 3 photos, our team will pick which one will work best.

Can I send more than one photo?

Yes, if you’re unsure you can send up to three photos and we can select the best one.

Am I able to choose the background of my portrait?

We provide four background color options: Natural (light beige), blue, pistachio, and rosa (pink). Or, you can leave your photo background.

Can I preview the custom portrait before it’s shipped?

Within 3-5 days you’ll receive an email with a preview of your portrait design for your approval.

Can I change or cancel my order once it has been placed?

If you need to adjust your order, please send us an email within 8 hours of purchase and we will make the necessary changes, please check our terms and conditions for more information. 

How do I provide a review?

All of our customers’ feedback is extremely important to us as it helps us continue to meet their needs. When we receive confirmation from our delivery partner that a customer’s order has been delivered we will proactively reach out and ask for insights into their overall experience and satisfaction. Writing reviews and attaching a photo of your pet next to their portrait are how many of our customers get to show off their happy pets and own satisfaction with their portrait.

We ship to all countries in the world and it cost $9.00 flat rate.

How long does the delivery take?

Our shipping worldwide delivers within 7-10 business days depending on the shipping address.


What payment options do you offer?

You can pay with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Apple Pay.

When do you charge my account?

Your account is charged when you place the order and your card has been approved.


Can I return my portrait if I’m not happy with it?

Due to the custom nature of these products we produce, we are unable to offer returns. Your custom artwork is designed with care and is personal to the photo you provided. However, if your order arrived damaged or the artwork isn’t quite what you were expecting, please follow these steps:

Order arrived damaged?

Send us a photo of the damage to and we will assist you with a replacement.

Artwork didn’t turn out the way you were hoping?

Contact us and tell us what you didn’t like and request a replacement.

I’ve made a mistake in my order, can you change or cancel it?

Contact us within the 8hrs after you’ve placed your order and we’ll do everything we can to make changes to it. No changes or cancellation can be made after the design preview has been approved, or the portrait has been printed and shipped.
